Blogging as an Alert service for Medical Libraries

Blogs can be useful as a current awareness tool for medical libraries. Just set yourself up with some relevant news feeds, via RSS. Then, post the results (with appropriate links) via your blogsite. Patrons can respond (via the comments) with how they found the information useful, or can comment on other areas that would serve their needs. The Librarian's news reader (with TOC services from relevant journals, or newsfeeds from important news media), can help quickly alert the librarian to what's new, hot and even fun.
